Zbigniew Rybczynski: Born in Łódż, Zbig won an Oscar for his short film “Tango” in 1983. A pioneer in the use of High Definition TV technology, he produced “The Orchestra” in 1990, which later won an Emmy in Special Effects.

He created outstanding music videos for artists such as Mick Jagger, Simple Minds, Lou Reed, Supertramp. He is also the author of a magic short film called “Imagine” after and played to J. Lennon’s song. The heroes walk through life as through a set of rooms, with the New York skyline in the background. His idea has been later copied in many advertising clips.

Tomasz Stańko: Born in Rzeszów (near Łańcut, Potocki former family seat), Tomasz is a jazz trumpeter and composer. He is the leading member of a generation of Polish musicians who found in jazz music a way to express their talent outside political censure and achieved international recognition in the 1960’s and 1970’s. He traveled to India in 1980 and recorded a series of solo trumpet performances by the Taj Mahal. Recently he was asked to compose music for the newly built Museum of Warsaw 1944 Uprising.
