![]() Count Jan Potocki (1761-1815) is best known as the author of the novel “The Manuscript Found in Saragossa” written in French over several decades. His masterpiece was rediscovered in the 1960’s and since attracted increasing international interest. A brilliant intellect, fluent in several languages, he was a keen and adventurous traveler. Some of his other books include descriptions of his trips to Egypt, Morocco, the Caucasus and China. |
