Small shiso leaves
Slices English cucumber
The shiso leaves act as a constant scent medium held in place by the cracked ice. Some of the shiso will fracture when the cocktail is poured creating a confetti effect atop the cocktail.
In martini glass, oppose two shiso leaves (bright side out) and top with cracked ice. Place cucumber in mixing glass and muddle well to release liquid. Add one shiso leaf in mixing glass and muddle well to release scent and fragment. Add Potocki Wódka and ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain into garnished glass over cracked ice.
Utilizing fresh yet subtle ingredients renders a cocktail suitable for sushi, sashimi, and various other delicate seafood preparations.
First served at the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo in 2017.
